It typically does. In theory it could be done prior to normal communication, but I see quite a few problems coming up as a result.
Avatar
Every experience is different, after all. My host was able to do touch imposition without realizing it while he was making the first tulpa.
Avatar
Ah. Imposition is a bit different, as it is all regarding perception.

I haven't tried possession yet, don't plan to until I've had at least a few dyas of clear communication with her

also @Felight you were right it was my mindset being the limitation, thinking about what you said I reread part of piano's guide and tried to spend some more time with her and I'm able to hear her talk now, I think she's been able to talk for a while I just haven't been able to listen, although it's still kind of hard so I'll have to practice a bit more, anyways thanks
8:53 PM
updated my introduction to reflect that she decided to change her name to Allun

It's hard to not accidentally puppet them when listening for talking
Avatar
It can be. Try to not expect a response to help with that.

I know hourcount is a meme but do we know an average of how long it typically takes for independent speech
Avatar
I don't believe so, nor would it be particularly useful given the wide range of how long it takes for each individual.
9:37 PM
Technically speaking, the average of 1000 hours and 10 hours is 505 hours - but that isn't very useful, is it?
Avatar
Deleted User 4/26/2018 9:38 PM
No it isn't
9:39 PM
Also interestingly the problem I had been having with the name substitution is almost gone today

Does anyone else's Tulpa ask a bunch of strange questions a 4 year old would ask? Like, Wolf gets inquisitive about the strangest/most normal things. Like, why is the yellow light that shade of yellow? And other stuff I forget. It's kind of refreshing, but also I can see it eventually getting annoying. Anyone else get this, and do they grow out of it?
Avatar
I mean, they are basically children that don't have the chance to be children. It's to be expected, I guess.
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 7:26 AM
Yah, that is true... Oh... well now I sorta feel sorry for them. (edited)
Avatar
As far as inquisitiveness goes, maybe.

and, they like making reasons to talk.
Avatar
To necro that conversation from yesterday, no, I do function in the wonderland without host paying attention. And no im no deluding myself or wrong for any other reason. Its something which does happen for us; if it doesnt for you then im sorry but thats just bad luck, theres no need to dismiss what i said and try to tell me that im wrong. I know what im experiencing.
Avatar
To be clear - the brain is excellent at making things up and rationalizing them. Without careful inspection, they seem legitimate. In fact, there have been experiments demonstrating that memories can be "inserted" using prior related information and assumptions. I am not saying that your memories of such don't exist, merely that the reason they exist is extremely likely different from what you evidently believe. That said, if you do think solidly that your brain functions differently than how human brains typically do, I look forward to seeing the experiment demonstrating that you can simultaneously have brain patterns associated with conscious effort at a task and daydreaming (wonderland) without significant decrease in... Quality? Speed? Fidelity? I don't know the word, but hopefully the concept is clear. I would love to see data demonstrating that phenomena as well, to be clear. I simply see it as less likely based on existing data about brain functioning.
Avatar
sorry, didnt realize you had a phd in brain science over here
Avatar
@Edou-Chan~ welcome to the world of subjective experiences that some people don't believe in
Avatar
and literally every argument has been "no, you're wrong, we know better than you do about what you're experiencing". your mind may be trash, but peoples claims are to be taken into account when it comes to science, especially in fields like this, and if you just reject the ones that conflict with your own then thats not a science and you're not reasonable
3:50 PM
and really? "That said, if you do think solidly that your brain functions differently than how human brains typically do, I look forward to seeing the experiment demonstrating that you can simultaneously have brain patterns associated with conscious effort at a task and daydreaming"
3:51 PM
>Prove what your brain does because i don't believe you
3:51 PM
and you're trying to be the person that others should be listening to?

(this is why the meta channels have the rules that they do btw)

So your saying you would be able to multy-task, at 100%, on 2 or more different tasks Dee/Miko? -Wolf
Avatar
Tulpas are subjective beings, so whether or not they actually go on these adventures is irrelevant. If you truly believe you did, you did.
Avatar
for one thing, we as a system are good at multi tasking, im not making any kind of outrageous claims about being able to do 10 things at once like some meta-human so dont straw man me. im just saying i can go out back (in the wonderland) and do things if im not specifically being paid attention to
Avatar
Your subjective experience is valid because it doesn't necessarily have a correlation with reality.
Avatar
the two things might not even be related (being able to multi-task and being active in wonderland without being paid attention to by my host(
3:55 PM
"because it doesn't necessarily have a correlation with reality." it doesnt necessarily not either
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 3:55 PM
Maybe, you just take up the un-used brain power to continue to be active? -w
Avatar
especially for tups of my age
3:55 PM
possibly? but either way, I can be active in the back and go do stuff if im on my own
Avatar
like, experience before explanation, please, at the least
3:56 PM
it's ok to have an experience even if you can't explain it yet
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 3:57 PM
What do you do when something hard is being worked on, like math or something that takes up all your thinking capacity? -Sy (edited)
Avatar
its not about being able to or not, Im just pissed people are telling me that my reality has to abide by their niche BS
3:58 PM
ive not noticed too much of a difference if any at all?
3:59 PM
but i dont appreciate "no, you're lying but im gunna word it in a way so that you can clearly see im on my pedestal and i know better than you"
3:59 PM
@SkyeNet
3:59 PM
were gunna go shower
Avatar
guys I need some help....
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:01 PM
I mean, I've seen several places myself that you can't truly multy-task, and that's what it sounds like your doing. So, to match my known science to your experiences, I guess that you just take up 'the rest' of the brain to stay active. -wolf
4:01 PM
What cha need help with Sen?
Avatar
my tulpas have been hatching a plan in the wonderland behind my bakc....
4:02 PM
;I think they want to hurt me........
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:02 PM
Tulpa= you-ish in body That would be self harm, on their part.
Avatar
r u saying they'r elike terrorists?
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:03 PM
Do they wish harm on your mind, or body?
Avatar
they want to take over
4:04 PM
help
Avatar
Im not trying to explain why it works for me. Im just stating that it does, regardless of causality
Avatar
does your tulpas work secret plans behind your back too dee miko?
Avatar
Me and miko are the tups and yes we have done that before
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:05 PM
Have you tryed, talking with them about it? Maybe they want somthing.
Avatar
More than once
Avatar
wtf u are like my tulpas?
Avatar
Is this real
Avatar
We did it for harmless fun
4:06 PM
Also shower time brb
Avatar
you need to help me deemiko...
Avatar
We've never hatched plans behind our host's back because tulpas don't do anything when not being paid attention to
4:08 PM
if they dont do anything why r they trying to kill me
Avatar
And tulpas can't do anything you don't let them do
4:08 PM
How are they going to kill you
4:08 PM
Steal the front? You can take it back easily
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:08 PM
Tulpas don't normally wish to harm the body, as that is them too. (edited)
Avatar
Like, extremely easily
4:09 PM
This person is clearly a troll
Avatar
what is a front?
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:09 PM
Every unique place has
4:09 PM
unique trolls
Avatar
[It's highly illogical to plot against the person who owns the body.]
Avatar
@Chat Mod very obvious troll here
Avatar
You are suspicious.
4:11 PM
Please stop being suspicious. :?
Avatar
I thought this was help for tulpas?
4:12 PM
I'm sorry I'm from equador
4:12 PM
but I need help
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:12 PM
I mean, takeing over and harming the body arn't really exactly normal for Tulpas.
Avatar
That's more akin to other types of thoughtforms.
Avatar
There's kind of an innate instinct to not self-harm that would prevent that
4:13 PM
Besides
Avatar
You'd have to desire yourself harm for a tulpa to want to hurt you.
Avatar
You can easily take back over
4:13 PM
With no effort at all
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:14 PM
Sounds more like a kinda demon to me. Not that we believe in it, that just seems more akin to what's being said.
Avatar
A DEMON IN MY BRAIN??
Avatar
Or just a troll, lmao
Avatar
Syfar System 4/27/2018 4:15 PM
Yes sen, go play with your demon. sigh
Avatar
I meant more like a thoughtform created by trauma.
Avatar
Maybe you should just go talk to your tulpas?
4:16 PM
Treat them like actual human beings and not evil monsters?
